The receivers you sell look the same as my friends Marshall ?
Yes that is true. Marshall used to buy these receivers in, attach their own yagi antenna and pistol grip, then sell them as their own.
What is an attenuator switch & what does it do ?
This is a switch that stops a strong transmitted signal from swamping the receiver, giving the impression that the signal is coming from all directions. Use the attenuator to reduce the signal for accurate close in, pinpoint tracking.
If I have a problem do I have to send my equipment to the USA to be repaired ?
Not for the first twelve months. As long as the unit does not fall into any of the exclusion categories set down by WMI, we will supply a new replacement Unit. After this period we may have to return it to WMI. But unlike other suppliers we handle all returns ourselves.
What is the difference between an LED display and a meter ?
Our engineer says the meter is slightly more sensitive. I find the LED easier to read, but at the end of the day I think its all down to personal preference.
Yes you can but we will have to let it clear before we can dispatch any goods.
What happens to the Merlin transmitters when it rains with the batteries exposed ?
They actually work under water but we have never tested to see how long for.
Do you sell re-chargeable receivers ?
We don’t keep them in stock any longer, we now only supply them as special order. 6 hours tracking time with re-chargeable vs 14 hours with disposables. Some customers like to keep a spare battery pack loaded with batteries in their car, just in case.
